There are a lot of well-known task management tools out there, and many of them are very good. So why build yet another one? Well, we had many reasons, here are just two:
When a project is in its early stages, many project tools work perfectly well. But once you get bigger, you have to create more tasks, more assignees, more milestones, more priorities. And when you have hundreds of tasks, you need more efficient ways of categorizing them, or chaos will ensue. You need to be able to quickly filter and instantly access information, about, for example, how many tasks exist per team member, or the person load per milestone, or to quickly focus on just the key features of a given section.
The better the task is described, the easier it is to implement and check. The problem with small text fields is that they limit writer expressiveness. They are good in cases where you need simple key notes, for example, when you create a to-do list for yourself or jot down a meeting agenda, but when you need to explain a task to someone else, it’s a different story. Everything needs to be clear enough that the user who reads the text understands what to do, preferably without having to ask additional questions to clarify. This is especially important now when more and more people work remotely and may work in different time zones. This could lead to long delays in communication, and greatly slow down the task fulfillment flow.
We consider task description to be the foundation of successful task implementation, and our goal is to provide you with a convenient medium.
Target users of Treenga are product managers and UX designers.
In our work we try to follow these key principles:
We want you to view Treenga like an old friend; one who will remember what you were up to the last time they saw you: which comments you didn’t want to see, and what task you opened last. If you collapse a category branch, we’ll keep it collapsed. If you hide some annoying or too long comment, we won’t show it next time you open the task. If you had previously filtered to show, for example, only high priority tasks, we won’t show you the low priority ones when you next open the program.
You don’t like slow and complex interfaces, neither do we. We focus on ensuring that every feature is easy to find and fast to respond.
We want our software to be affordable, that’s why you only pay for what you use. Use only the resources you currently need, and relax knowing that you will be fairly billed.
Teams organize people around tasks. In addition to your own teams, Treenga provides the option to invite members of other teams owned by any other person or company to view and add to a project.
Categories help you to group and manage tasks. Consider categories as tags; they can be hierarchical and represent your project structure, or be designed around task attributes such as milestones or urgency.
Categories
Write you task descriptions using WYSIWYG-editor. Quickly add images and attach files, set categories, assign responsibilities, define due dates and keep track of progress and accomplishments.
Create clear and concise tasks. Save drafts as often as you need, take a break, give it some thought, and pick up where you left off when you are ready.
All task revisions are saved, allowing you to view a complete history of a task progression and recover any version you want. Edit freely, safe in the knowledge that every draft is saved.
Use the private section to manage your own personal tasks which you don’t want others to share.
Get notified about changes instantly. No need to check your email or wait for access to recent updates to your tasks and comments.
Category descriptions allow you to add brief documentation notes on important project features, without having to switch programs.
Invited to join another company’s project via your own company-provided email? Simply link your account to the other and use a single interface to manage all of your presences.
Want to notify a team member about a task? Mention @user to tag and subscribe them to updates.
Instantly filter all tasks by all parameters, invert results and combine conditions using and/or rules. Filters are autosaved per team, so you always continue your work where you paused it.
